HH GLASS is the work of Hannah Hazel, a stained glass artist and designer living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also owner of Sandia Stained Glass Studio, a friendly spot offering stained glass supplies and classes (coming soon).

Hannah was raised in rural Iowa and proudly holds a degree in mixed media from Iowa State University, with a focus on interior and graphic design. After graduation, she lived in Colorado working in production and design for a wall decal company, followed by a role as lead graphic designer for a cycling apparel company. Eventually, she ventured out on her own, starting a hand-carved rubber stamp business that began as a hobby and grew into a fulfilling three-year project.

On an afternoon in 2018, she attended a stained glass workshop just for fun and it changed everything. She practiced and learned as much as she could about stained glass. In 2021, she moved to New Mexico, where she continued to hone her skills across the mediums and design disciplines she had explored over the years. These experiences ultimately converged to shape her current stained glass practice, education, and retail store.

Hannah’s style is rooted in the organic motifs and earthy color palette of the high desert. Her perspective, attention to detail, and years of experience across different areas of design make her work both distinctive and versatile. She’s a natural collaborator, whether she’s working with a client on their next stained glass project or sharing what she knows through teaching.

Her technical stained glass training spans the Tiffany Method and leaded architectural panels, table lamp design, and wall mirrors — experience deepened through teaching stained glass classes at varying skill levels, participating in continuing education courses, and apprenticing under the highly respected studio, Theodore Ellison Designs in Oakland, California.
